The Model Preserving Strategy makes a lot of sense when you consider it. Your first impression is that it must be obvious that this is a better way to do things. But that is not obvious, and in fact there is significant support by existing articles that a model will ultimately be transformed.
This page is dedicated to collecting evidence that this is not obvious. There is significant momentum around the idea that a model will be transformed into another form for later work in the development cycle.
