Greetings Band Families! Welcome back! I hope you all had a great summer. It went by in a flash for us!
This is the first in a series of weekly emails intended to keep you informed about the Santa Teresa High School Music Program. Each week this email will contain messages from Ms Bounds and others about upcoming activities with a summary of important dates in the next 2 weeks at the end of the email. From Ms Bounds: Color Guard Sectionals for the marching band season will be Tuesdays afterschool. Color Guard Parent meeting, Tuesday, September 9th 6:30-7:30pm Room 803 Volunteer Pep Band Games: Friday 9/5 7pm Football Game @ Oak Grove HS Friday 9/12, 3:30pm Football Game @ STHS MARCHING BAND SCHEDULE CHANGE: The football game scheduled for Saturday October 25th has been MOVED to FRIDAY OCTOBER 24TH at STHS. The entire marching band will be performing at this FRIDAY game. There will be a marching band rehearsal on Saturday October 25th from 10am-4pm.

We are looking for voluteers to work on The Pit Crew for Marching Band season. This, in my opinion, is the best job of all as you are part of the show! We are also looking for an equipment manager to coordinate the pit crew and the repair of marching band equipment. People interested in being part of the show should contact Steve Bischoff at steveb48 at aol.com.
Santa Clara Vanguard Bingo Fundraiser - All SC Vanguard Bingo dates are filled for Aug., Sept., & Oct. 2008. November, December, and January dates will be added to the volunteer hub as soon as SC Vanguard publishes their Bingo Calendar for those months. An e-mail announcement will be sent to our band families when new dates are added to the Volunteer Hub. STMAA volunteers that work SC Vanguard Bingo events raise $50 per completed shift to go to the band account of the student they are fundraising for. Unfortunately, we will not be selling Booster Juice during band camp. The booster juice sales did not bring in the enthusiasm that we thought we might have as a fundraiser.
